There’s no place like Salem Community Theatre! Join us as we kick off our 2026–2027 Season with the timeless classic The Wizard of Oz. Whether you’re looking to follow the Yellow Brick Road to Munchkinland, the Emerald City, or somewhere in between, we have a role for performers of all ages and experience levels!

Munchkinland Auditions
July 19 & 20 4:00–6:00 PM

Seeking performers ages 5 years old up to 5 feet tall to bring the magical residents of Munchkinland to life!

Featured roles include:
The Mayor
The Coroner
The Lollipop Guild
The Lullaby League
And many more beloved Munchkins!

Please prepare 60 seconds of an upbeat song of your choice. Some performers auditioning for Munchkinland may also be considered for additional roles.

All Other Roles
July 19 & 20 6:00–8:00 PM

Dance Call: July 22 at 6:00 PM

Seeking performers ages 12 and up for all principal and ensemble roles, including Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, Lion, Glinda, the Wicked Witch, Ozians, Winkies, Jitterbugs, and more! There are opportunities for performers of every experience level.

Please prepare: 60–90 seconds of a song that is NOT from The Wizard of Oz Some auditionees may also be asked to complete a cold reading from the script.
